Kyle Larson attempted the grueling feat of 'The Double' on the day before Memorial Day.
What is The Double?
The challenge involves one driver completing the Indy 500 in the afternoon and then the Coca-Cola 600 at night, with Kyle Larson being one of only five drivers to have attempted it.
Only 5 drivers have ever attempted 'The Double': John Andretti, Tony Stewart, Robby Gordon, Kurt Busch, and Kyle Larson.
What To Expect from the Show
The 90-minute documentary, *Kyle Larson vs. The Double*, will feature an all-inclusive behind-the-scenes look into Larson's preparation and mindset in racing The Double.
Larson allowed the camera into his life in great detail while filming this show.
The Journey to Complete The Double
The journey to race all 1,100 miles in one day began in 2024 when Hendrick Motorsports and McLaren teamed up to give Larson the shot, but rain derailed his attempt to complete both races.
Luckily for Larson, he was on a 2-year deal to complete the feat and made his return in 2025.
The Show's Release
The show will debut on Amazon Prime Video on May 21, just days before 'The Greatest Day in Motorsports', which will showcase all three flagship series of worldwide motorsports: NASCAR, INDYCAR, and Formula One.
Per Larson, 'It turned out really good,' when referencing the show, and he will most likely not attempt the feat again.
The 2-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion will make his debut in his show on May 21 and then set his sights on both winning Sunday's Coca-Cola 600 and a 3rd Cup Series Championship over the next 6 months of racing.
If you are a fan of motorsports, the show is a must-watch, with a rare behind-the-scenes look into every minute detail of the effort.
Katherine Legge will be the 6th driver, and first female to attempt the feat in 2026, partnering with AJ Foyt Racing and Live Fast Motorsports.
The rare 1,100-mile feat has never been easy, and Larson's results will be revealed in the show, which will compare with the greats, including John Andretti, Tony Stewart, and the 2 other drivers who attempted the feat before Larson.
