Larson, the defending Cup Series champion, took the top spot toward the end of the 50-minute session.

The No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports driver beat out Todd Gilliland, who ran a 89.421 mph lap.

Ty Gibbs finished third with a 89.393 mph time, followed by Connor Zilisch and Carson Hocevar.
